This is a beautifully colored and woven sakiori obi, or a rustic, traditional kimono sash that is woven using shredded cloth as its weft yarn.
The warp yarns on this obi are white and red cotton which give the obi a soft plaid design. The weft yarns are fed in blocks of red and cream with narrow details of green and black. In combination with the red and white warp the woven effect is soft and graphic.
This handsome obi is in good, used condition.
