This is a wonderful collection of about 28 fragments of hand spun, hand woven indigo dyed cotton, each fragment rich in ito aji or the thread flavor so important when collecting Japanese folk textiles.
Each piece of cloth is succulent in its color and texture, and for those interested in superb quality, old Japanese indigo dyed cotton, this sampler is a find.
Some pieces are frail from age and wear.
