A Group of Daifukucho: Three Different Types of Papers

$45.00 USD

early twentieth century
each book approximately: 5 1/2" x 14 1/4", 14 cm x 36 cm

This is a nice group of three old daifukucho. A daifukucho is a hand bound, hand written book that was originally used for inventories, for accounting, for ledgers or as a record of loans.

Each of the three books is made of different paper, or paper that has aged very differently, so each has its own tone and character. Each book shows very nice handwriting on its pages.

A good example of a traditional daifukucho with very nice bast fiber paper and good writing. Please note the covers of the books are of the same paper as their pages.
