A zokin is a traditional Japanese dust rag which is hand stitched using re-purporsed cloth. Zokin were often made in groups, so very often you will find batches of similar types coming from one home.
This zokin is stitched from about three layers of commercially produced cotton. The cloth used to make this zokin is patterned with a large repeat and is stitched with vertically-oriented broad stitching.
It is a good looking old traditional dust rag which certainly can be used in the home as an accessory.
