A Checkerboard Rustic Obi: Thick Yarn Weft

This rustic obi gives the impression that it is sakiori or ragweave, but in actual fact it is woven from thick yarns.

The pattern is bold--red and black--and it is a kind of off-kilter checkerboard design, just lovely.

There are tied fringes at either end of the kimono sash which adds a lovely detail to this otherwise bold and eye catching design.

The condition is good and used and there seems to be very little damage or wear to this piece.

Very appealing.
