A Boro Zokin: Pieced Sashiko Stitched Dust Rag
$21.00 USD
mid twentieth century
11" x 11 1/2", 28 cm x 29 cm
Zokin are traditional Japanese dust rags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a very handsome zokin whose two sides are sewn from pieced-together recycled cotton and possibly wool cloth which has been beautifully sashiko stitched.
A very good looking zokin with a lovely composition, nice color and artful piecing of cloth.
