This is a book of textile designs intended for brocade silks to be used in Buddhist temples--the designs, by and large, are of Chinese derivation.

There is a good variety of colored images in this book showing designs and their variations. Some of the images are missing a tiny square which seem to have been cut by someone for purposes of color matching or some other function during the weaving process.

The images range from simple, low-contrast two colored designs to more elaborate, multi-colored designs showing a complex image.

A great design resource for those interested in surface design.
