This is a length of pieced and layered indigo dyed cotton: the cotton is beautifully faded, is very pale in areas, and shows very attractive patching and mending stitches.

The cotton is beautiful for its texture; it is hand spun and hand woven. It is also beautiful for the fact that it is so nicely faded which brings out the hand spun quality of the cotton yarns.
