How can you resist this wonderfully unusual, hand printed cotton cloth? People Tree, a design studio in New Delhi, create fabulous, offbeat prints which are made using hand carved wood blocks.
This one is just sheer pleasure: a complex pattern of monkeys bounding from tree to tree through a pink and red jungle, with a sky of horizontal lines and repeated, slash-style markings.
Machine finished, this hand dyed cotton cloth is a novelty and a curiosity, and certainly it makes you think about creating prints in a new way.
