A Length of Pieced Plaid Cotton: Sharp Red Details

This length of pieced and patched, handwoven and handsome plaid cotton has the distinctive feature of details of bright red shooting through the weft.

The length is of a good, sturdy weight of cotton and the colors, albeit slightly unusual in combination, are handsome. The cloth is hand stitched from two pieces that combine to make one length and there is a patch which is an attractive feature as it breaks the pattern of the woven plaid.

This is a very attractive plaid from an old hand loom in Japan.
