This hand-stitched cotton jacket is shown here inside-out because of the lovely, large-scale indigo dyed kasuri which makes up the lining.

The proper outside of the coat seems to be a commercially loomed cotton which is woven in subtle, rich colors.

The contrast of the large-scale kasuri lining to the dark, discreet pattern of the proper outside is lovely. There are two kasuri patterns shown, each recycled from other garments or bedding and they show some light fading and wear, especially noticeable on the shoulder area.

A delightful garment, still very wearable.
