A Length of Hand Spun Cotton Kasuri: Framed Squares

This is a length of hand woven indigo dyed cotton that shows a pattern of a grid composed of five maize-toned lines. Alternating inside the frames made by the grid are five, white kasuri woven slashes.

The pattern is simple and elegant and the cloth is fairly heavily woven.

The condition is used but good and the impression of the indigo conveys a deep tone that reads almost as black.
