An Unused Sashiko Stitched Apron: Home Made
$55.00 USD
mid twentieth century
20" x 16 1/2", 51 cm x 42 cm
When this apron was recently acquired it was found with a few others of similar type, each tacked closed, each unused and each seemingly made by the same hand.
This is an unused, sashiko stitched apron which is hand stitched from pieced kasuri cotton cloth. The selection of kasuri used for this apron is wonderfully mismatched and artfully arranged.
The sashiko stitching which is done over the pieced kasuri cotton is expertly done and regular in its arrangement. The cotton tie is undyed white cloth.
A wonderful accessory with a good deal of visual interest.
