The illustrations are charmingly instructional as they present so many of the images that are seen on \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.srithreads.com\/collections\/various-folk-textiles-and-other\/products\/a-weathered-ko-ema-hand-painted-shinto-votive\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eema,\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e including some that are rare and often not seen by the general public. There is a description of each ema that accompanies each image.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLikewise there are quite a few pages of writing, presumably about the \u003cem\u003eema\u003c\/em\u003e in the collection illustrated in the book.
