A Small Boro Fragment: Tattered and Reversible

This tattered and lovely indigo dyed boro cloth is a fragment from a larger piece, a futon cover--and it is also interesting on both its sides.

As can be seen in the accompanying detail photos, it is hand stitched together, it is patched, it shows some faint stains and some of its seams have come a bit undone, most notably one on the lower left of the piece.

The indigo dyed cotton is beautifully faded and worn, and this small indigo dyed futon cover fragment has lots of character and personality--as well as some good, old cloth.
