A Short Boro Length: Kasuri and Checks

This length of hand loomed cotton is composed of four separate pieces which are hand stitched together.

Two are a lovely, large scale kasuri cloth that is dyed brown; the tall piece on the top is a nicely hand woven indigo dyed checked cloth an the sliver on the very top is solid, indigo dyed blue cotton.

The play of small checked cloth against the large kasuri pattern is really lovely, as is the combination of colors--brown and blue--which add appeal to this handsome fragment taken from a futon cover.

Appealing.
