Shown here are five, narrow lengths of (mainly) indigo dyed cotton shibori, each piece of cloth being taken from the collar, or eri, section of a yukata, which is an unlined, cotton summer kimono.

Each of the pieces is of a different dimension; sizes are shown above: the selection represented here were all made in the early to mid twentieth century, and each shows some creases and fading from wear.

The purple-colored fragment is woven from ramie or hemp, and that piece shows a vertical stain along the center crease.

A wonderful sampler and one that can be easily applied to any fashion or art endeavor.   Ingrained creases and a slight stain (mentioned above) from previous use, otherwise in good, clear condition.
