A Patched Kaya Length: Overdyed Hemp Mesh

This is a wonderful length of rustic, over dyed indigo hemp cloth.  This is a panel from a kaya or mosquito netting, hence the very loose, open weave of the cloth.

The color is a very warm blue green which looks more blue or more green depending on the ambient light conditions; the hemp yarns are wiry and have taken the dye in a slightly uneven fashion, which adds to the country appeal of this length.

The one, lone patch with its lovely stitching adds charm to this good sized length.

A lovely length of old kaya.
