A Marvelously Good Zokin #1: Thick and Piece Constructed
ca. mid twentieth century
13" x 11 1/4", 33 cm x 28.5 cm
Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This zokin is a particularly wonderful one as it is created from scraps of cotton cloth that are artfully arranged, creating a kind of "mini-boro" textile.
Just fantastic--and recommended.
