A Length of Large Scale Plaid Cotton: Patched Boro Cloth

This is length of plaid, indigo dyed cotton that has been patched along its length, the contrasting tones and patterns of the patches in contrast to the base cloth adds visual interest to this piece.

There are about six prominently placed patches on this length, the base cloth of which is quite faded and worn. There are horizontal tears to the piece in several places, none of which distracts from the overall beauty of the boro length, but they do exist and for good reason: the piece is old and is well-worn.

An attractive boro panel of very good length and one with some interesting details.
