A Length of Kanoko Shibori: Contemporary Cotton
$35.00 USD
ca. mid to late twentieth century
53" x 13 1/2", 134.5 cm x 34 cm
This intensely shibori-ed length of commerically produced cotton is all texture due to the countless tied puckers which create the interest in this indigo dyed cloth.
Kanoko, or fawn-dappled, shibori shows regularly spaced dots which, obviously resemble the coat of a baby deer. This length is crammed with dots, each a little peak of cloth, and the texture is as lovely as the overall color, size and shape of this fragment.
