A Length of Dappled Shibori: Small Tie-Dyed Dots
$35.00 USD
mid twentieth century
56" x 15", 142 cm x 38 cm
This is a length of miura shibori which shows a dense field of clustered blue dappling. This length of shibori dyed cotton was taken from a yukata, an unlined summer kimono, and because this cloth was once part of a garment, it shows ingrained creases from wear.
From a distance the cloth appears to have a slightly mottled, medium-toned color, but upon closer inspection the fine pattern of spots can be seen.
A lovely length of traditional shibori dyed cotton.
