This is a beautifully composed column of cotton cloth pieces, six in all, which have been hand stitched together: there are two patterns which make up this length.
The cotton is of a commercial variety although the stenciled patterns may be in part hand done; the stitching and the mending--shown in detail photographs here--are all by hand.
The commercial grade cotton is lightweight and the overall appeal of this alternating light and dark length is sedate and appealing.
Just lovely.
