A Hand Towel of Sekka Shibori: Contemporary Cotton and Stripes

This is a contemporary, commercially produced white cotton tea towel that has been dyed in the sekka itajime shibori technique--this kaleidoscopic flower pattern looks wonderful against the base cloth of white cotton that is accentuated with narrow, red woven stripes.

There is some offset indigo to some of the white areas, but otherwise this is a quite startling and lovely piece--and it is very much eager to be used.
