Shown here are five, narrow lengths of indigo dyed cotton shibori, each piece of cloth being taken from the collar, or eri, section of a yukata, which is an unlined, cotton summer kimono.
Each of the pieces is of a different dimension; sizes are shown above: the selection represented here were all made in the early to mid twentieth century, and each shows some creases and fading from wear.
A wonderful sampler and one that can be easily applied to any fashion or art endeavor.Ingrained creases from previous use, otherwise in good, clear condition with a one or two small, discrete stains.
