Shown here are five, narrow lengths of indigo dyed cotton shibori, each piece of cloth being taken from the collar, or eri, section of a yukata, which is an unlined, cotton summer kimono.
Each of the pieces is of a different dimension; sizes are shown above: the selection represented here were all made in the early to mid twentieth century, and each shows some creases and fading from wear.
A wonderful sampler and one that can be easily applied to any fashion or art endeavor.Ingrained creases from previous use, otherwise in good, clear condition. Please note the piece pictured on the far right shows one stain, pictured on the accompanying photographs.
