A Full Bolt of Red Silk Shibori: Stitched Back

$140.00 USD

mid to late twentieth century
red shibori silk: 11 yards x 14 1/4", 10 m x 36 cm

This is a bolt of red shibori dyed silk that is made in two layers: the top layer is the silk shibori, and the under layer, slightly wider, is an undyed, lightweight, translucent silk that is stitched or basted to the entire length of the cloth in even, diagonal lines.

It was said that this bolt was intended to be transformed into an obi which is a sensible suggestion.

The silk bolt is unused and in fresh condition.
