{"product_id":"a-fabulous-two-panel-boro-cloth-zanshi-and-kasuri","title":"A Fabulous Two Panel Boro Cloth: Zanshi and Kasuri","description":"\u003cp\u003eca. late nineteenth, early twentieth century\u003cbr \/\u003e\n62\" x 25\",\u0026nbsp; 157.5 cm x 63 cm \u003cbr \/\u003e\n\u003cbr \/\u003e\nThis is a really interesting, very handsome, two panel, indigo dyed \u003ci\u003eboro\u003c\/i\u003e cotton cloth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base cloth is a deeply colored stripe, some of the warp yarns being \u003ci\u003ekasuri \u003c\/i\u003eyarns, which add a kind of \"sparkle\" to the overall look of the dark cotton.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo the top of the piece are hand stitched two, large, irregularly faded pieces of very interesting indigo dyed cotton: this cotton is composed of narrow, \u003ci\u003ekasuri\u003c\/i\u003e warp-based stripes against which is a sparse field of weft-based \u003ci\u003eegasuri \u003c\/i\u003eshowing gourds, maple leaves and narrow, elongated blips.\u0026nbsp; Really interesting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the bottom, left-hand quadrant of the piece is a large piece of hand woven, black and white \u003ci\u003ezanshi ori\u003c\/i\u003e or cotton cloth woven from left over yarns.\u0026nbsp; Pay attention to the detail photo which accompanies this post which shows the interesting little mending stitch that appears in this field of \u003ci\u003ezanshi ori.\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA really, really interesting and attractive \u003ci\u003eboro\u003c\/i\u003e textile.\u003cbr \/\u003e\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr \/\u003e\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n","brand":"Sri","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":238672709,"sku":"","price":135.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0070\/9422\/products\/ZanshiKasuriBoro8.jpg?v=1571438550","url":"https:\/\/www.srithreads.com\/products\/a-fabulous-two-panel-boro-cloth-zanshi-and-kasuri","provider":"Sri","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
