A Deeply Colored Plaid Boro Fragment: Contrasting Colors

$40.00 USD

ca. mid twentieth century
52 1/2" x 13 1/2",  133.5 cm x 34 cm

This length of deeply colored hand woven cloth was taken from a futon cover.  It shows a rich plaid composed of deep blue, medium blue, golden orange and white.  The dyes are still quite vivid.

As well, there are four hand stitched patches, the most prominent of which is a brown-colored, large scale plaid patch which is stitched with a large oval using black and white thread.  Just lovely.

An unusually colored boro fragment with good patching.
