This particular type of\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003ekasuri\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eweaving shows a tiny, close repeat of blue marks which appear due to the confluence of warp and weft yarns that are dyed just in the right way to create this pattern. The small repeat increases the difficulty for the\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003ekasuri\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eweaver.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe\u003cspan\u003e pattern on this small kimono i\u003c\/span\u003es complex--patterns within medallions, basket weave effect in the interstices, faint blue pattern on the disc-like, woven medallions--and it required great skill to weave, which not might be apparent if you do not know about the\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.srithreads.com\/collections\/kasuri\"\u003ekasuri\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eweaving process.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe garment itself is in good, used condition with a small stain to the proper, left hand side of the front of the\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003esleeve\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003ewhich is shown on a detail photo here.
