This is a beautifully graphic length of indigo dyed cotton kasuri that shows large-scale, traditional design images embedded into vertical stripes.
On the left hand side is the stylized image of the yabane or arrow feather; on the right hand side there is a repeat of the well cover pattern. Both these images are often seen on kasuri cotton because the images are well-suited to this technique of weaving.
The cloth itself is in good condition and it is hand woven.
