mid twentieth century

Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.

This is a very handsome zokin which is sewn from recycled cotton cloth. The sashiko stitching is beautifully executed in pink and white colored thread and it adds charm to this otherwise utilitarian cloth

A very good looking zokin with lovely stitching.
