This is a particularly beautiful length of indigo dyed cotton boro kaya or mosquito netting.
Its beauty resides in its lovely, warm blue color, almost a cornflower blue: clear, rich and easy on the eyes. There cloth is woven with a check pattern.
The patching to this kaya is also very nice with 5 patches of cotton cloth, each hand stitched to the base cloth, which is hand stitched from two pieces.
A visual treat, this boro kaya has many alluring qualities, chief among them its rustic cotton, its lovely indigo dyed color, its artful patching and its beautifully woven texture.Note the hole to the top, right and the snags and small holes to the surface, along with a series of snags and holes all along the right hand selvedge area.
